Aims
Our aims are reflected in everything we do and can be and are expressed in a variety of ways. To reinforce what has been stated elsewhere at Trinity School we aim to:
- offer a broad and balanced curriculum for pupils with a diverse range of learning difficulties and complex needs
- maintain a high standard of teaching to support pupils in achieving their maximum capabilities
- enhance our pupils' knowledge and understanding of relevant life opportunities so they can live their lives as fully as possible within the community
- reflect these values to a broader community by action and example
- affirm the dignity of each member of our community and value the contribution of each pupil and member of staff
Objectives
At Trinity we strive to:
- foster a full working partnership with parents at all times
- ensure that all staff and pupils are involved in key decision-making processes of the school
- provide first-hand relevant learning experiences for all pupils
- build and develop skills and concepts, both by curriculum work and extra curricular activities
- involve the school in innovative curriculum developments related to complex needs thus enhancing the learning outcomes for all our pupils
- support our pupils in working towards independence through living skills
- maximise the use of specialist services and resources available within the school
- ensure the school's management and review mechanisms focus on the quality of teaching and learning.
